I’m Stephanie Candish, the artist behind I Love Washington - The Art of Adventure.
Every design starts with a real adventure. I personally visit the places I draw, walk them, explore them, snowboard them, and experience the atmosphere firsthand before turning that connection into original artwork.
From there, each illustration becomes a coordinated collection of magnets, puzzles, stickers and fine art prints created for destination retail.
No stock art.

My mission is to personally visit and illustrate every ski hill in America and every National Park — building an ever-growing collection of authentic, place-specific artwork along the way.

I believe there’s an important difference between using AI to market artwork and using AI to make artwork.
I use AI as a creative marketing tool — to place my finished artwork into lifestyle mockups, help create imagery for my website and social media, and design content such as cover images for my Watch Me Draw videos.
But AI never creates my artwork.
Every illustration in the I Love Washington collection is drawn by me, from start to finish, using traditional illustration techniques digitally on my iPad with my Apple Pen. I build each piece by hand — line by line, shape by shape, and layer by layer — often spending 25–70 hours on a single illustration.
And there’s another rule behind my work that matters just as much:
If I haven’t been there, I don’t draw it.
The mountains, National Parks, ski resorts, towns and destinations in my collection come from places I’ve personally experienced. That authenticity is part of what retailers are bringing into their stores — not simply another souvenir with a location name added to it, but artwork with a genuine connection to the place it represents.
