Cooper Lake — Cle Elum, Washington Artwork

Some pieces are special because of the place they capture. Others are special because they’re part of where everything began.

This Cooper Lake artwork is one of the original four drawings I created when I first started my business, so it will always hold a particularly meaningful place in my collection.

Cooper Lake is one of my favorite local places to spend time, especially on a paddleboard. I love heading out toward the middle of the lake and turning around to take in the incredible mountain range surrounding the water. From out there, the view feels completely different — quiet, dramatic, and beautifully removed from everything.

It is, however, a lake where I try very hard not to fall in. I find the water particularly cold, thanks in large part to the surrounding mountain snow and glacier-fed runoff. For an actual swim, I’d personally much rather choose Lake Cle Elum or Lake Kachess.

Like every location in my collection, Cooper Lake is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pencil, with hours spent building the mountain range, reflections, trees, water, and small details that make this view feel so true to place.

This artwork is available as a fine art print in 12 × 18, 18 × 24, 24 × 36, and 24 × 44 inches, making it perfect for a mountain home, cabin, living room, office, or any space inspired by the Pacific Northwest.

For me, this piece represents both a place I genuinely love and one of the very first chapters of my business.

Bring the adventure home.
