Inspired by Cooper Lake near Cle Elum, Washington, this artwork captures the turquoise water, dramatic mountain backdrop, surrounding evergreens, and the calm feeling of being tucked away in the wilderness.

Cooper Lake is especially meaningful to me because it was one of the original four drawings that helped launch I Love Washington. It’s also a place I love spending time at — especially paddleboarding out toward the middle of the lake and taking in the mountain views.

The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with many hours spent building the mountains, forest, water, and small details throughout the scene.
