Inspired by the beauty of Lake Cle Elum in Central Washington, this artwork captures the expansive blue water, surrounding evergreen forest, and dramatic mountain scenery that make this area such a memorable place to explore.

Lake Cle Elum is especially meaningful to me because it was one of the original four drawings that helped launch I Love Washington. It’s a place I’ve spent time enjoying for myself before bringing it home to draw, and its combination of water, mountains, and wide-open scenery perfectly represents the kind of Washington landscape I love most.

The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with many hours spent building the mountains, shoreline, forest, water, and small details throughout the scene.
