Lake Keechelus Lake Puzzle
Lake Keechelus Puzzle
Piece by piece, bring one of the most recognizable mountain lakes along Washington’s I-90 corridor to life.
Lake Keechelus sits in Kittitas County on the eastern side of Snoqualmie Pass, between Hyak and Easton. If you’ve driven Interstate 90 across the Cascades, there’s a good chance you’ve passed right alongside it—the highway follows the northeastern shore of the lake for several miles. Lake Keechelus also forms part of the headwaters of the Yakima River and is surrounded by the rugged forests and mountains of the Central Cascades.
It’s one of those places that feels especially familiar to anyone who regularly travels between western and eastern Washington. Depending on the season and water level, the landscape can change dramatically, revealing stretches of shoreline and old tree stumps beneath the brilliant mountain backdrop.
Like every location in my collection, Lake Keechelus is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with hours spent building the mountains, colorful sky, turquoise water, and distinctive exposed shoreline.
That artwork has been transformed into a 336-piece jigsaw puzzle, finished at approximately 12 × 18 inches. It’s designed to be challenging enough to keep things interesting while still being an enjoyable puzzle to complete in an afternoon or over a cozy weekend.
Whether Lake Keechelus reminds you of drives across Snoqualmie Pass, weekends exploring the Cascades, or simply a place you love in Washington, this puzzle is a way to bring a little piece of that landscape home.
