Inspired by the spectacular northern lights visible across Washington in 2024, I imagined Mount Rainier beneath a sweeping aurora-filled sky — combining one of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic landscapes with one of nature’s most unforgettable displays.

Mount Rainier is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with dozens of hours spent building the mountain, evergreens, night sky, and glowing aurora in detail.
