Multnomah Falls
Multnomah Falls, Oregon
Some places stop you in your tracks before you’ve even had time to take them in.
Tumbling more than 600 feet through the lush cliffs of Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most unforgettable landscapes. For this artwork, I wanted to capture not only the incredible scale of the waterfall, but the rich colors, textures, and almost storybook atmosphere that make this place feel so special.
Like the places throughout my collection, Multnomah Falls is somewhere I’ve experienced for myself before bringing it home to draw. Standing beneath the falls, crossing the historic Benson Bridge, and taking in the towering cliffs and surrounding forest gave me all of those little details that photographs alone can never quite capture.
Each piece is drawn by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with dozens of hours spent carefully building the rocks, foliage, rushing water, bridge, and layers of detail that give the artwork its sense of place.
The warm autumn color palette in this piece also has a little personal inspiration behind it — my Shiba Inu, whose coloring makes him the living embodiment of fall.
This Multnomah Falls fine art print is available in four sizes: 12×18, 18×24, 24×36, and 24×44 inches, making it perfect for anything from a smaller Pacific Northwest accent piece to a dramatic statement artwork.
Whether Multnomah Falls represents an Oregon road trip, a favorite adventure through the Columbia River Gorge, a treasured memory of the Pacific Northwest, or a destination still waiting on your bucket list, this artwork was created to keep that connection close.
Celebrate the places you love.
Take the adventure home.
