Inspired by Rattlesnake Ledge, this artwork captures the sweeping view from the top, looking out across the lake, forest, and surrounding Cascade mountains.

This is another North Bend hike I’ve personally done, and while it’s definitely a steep climb, the view at the top makes it completely worth the effort. It’s also one of those hikes where reaching the ledge feels like a little reward in itself — especially when you can sit down, take in the scenery, and enjoy a well-earned sandwich overlooking the valley.

Like every place throughout my collection, Rattlesnake Ledge is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with many hours spent building the lake, forest, rocky ledge, mountains, and sky one detail at a time.
