Piece by piece, bring one of the most meaningful places in the I Love Washington story to life.

Red Top Lookout holds a particularly special place in my collection because it was one of the original four drawings I created when I first started my business. Long before the collection grew to include ski resorts, National Parks, lakes, waterfalls, and destinations across the Pacific Northwest, Red Top was there at the very beginning.

Located near Cle Elum in Central Washington, Red Top Lookout sits high above the surrounding forest with sweeping views across the mountains and valleys below. The lookout itself has that unmistakable historic fire-tower character, and the combination of the rocky summit, silhouetted trees, and dramatic evening sky made it a scene I knew I wanted to capture.

As with every place I draw, Red Top Lookout is somewhere I personally visited before creating the artwork. I drew the original piece by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, spending hours building the lookout, rugged landscape, trees, and fiery sunset one detail at a time.

That original artwork has now been turned into a 336-piece jigsaw puzzle, finished at approximately 12 × 18 inches. The deep reds, oranges, dark rock, and intricate lookout structure make this one especially satisfying to piece together.

For me, this puzzle is more than just another destination in the collection. It represents the very beginning of I Love Washington and the idea that eventually became The Art of Adventure™.
