Bring home a different perspective on one of Washington’s most recognizable landmarks.

Inspired by Seattle and the Space Needle, I wanted to create a view that felt different from the traditional cityscape. Rather than looking up at the Space Needle from below, I chose to imagine it from above, giving the piece a dramatic perspective with the Space Needle dominating the foreground.

Beyond it, just a handful of Seattle’s city buildings rise through the scene, while Mount Rainier sits in the distance beneath layers of soft clouds. I kept the composition intentionally simple so that the Space Needle remains the unmistakable focus of the artwork.

The pinks, purples, and blues give the scene a dreamy atmosphere while still celebrating three things that immediately make me think of Seattle — the Space Needle, the city, and Mount Rainier.

Like every place throughout my collection, Seattle is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw.

The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with many hours spent building the Space Needle, buildings, Mount Rainier, clouds, and sky one detail at a time.

Available in 12 × 18, 18 × 24, 24 × 36, and 24 × 44 inches, this piece makes a striking addition to a home, apartment, office, or Pacific Northwest-inspired space.
