Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington State’s most iconic natural landmarks, with the Snoqualmie River plunging 268 feet into the canyon below. Surrounded by towering evergreens and the unmistakable beauty of the Pacific Northwest, it’s a place that feels dramatic in every season.

Snoqualmie Falls is somewhere I’ve personally visited many times before bringing it home to draw. Staying true to my rule that if I haven’t been there, I don’t draw it, I wanted this piece to capture not just the waterfall itself, but the atmosphere of standing at the overlook and watching the water disappear into the mist below.

The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with dozens of hours spent building the rock face, rushing water, surrounding forest, and small details that give the scene its sense of place.
