Inspired by Twin Falls near North Bend, Washington, this artwork captures the rushing water, rocky gorge, surrounding evergreens, and the lush Pacific Northwest landscape that makes this trail such a memorable place to explore.

Twin Falls is one of my favorite hikes in the North Bend area, and one of the things I love most about it is how completely different it can look depending on the season. The colors, water flow, foliage, and atmosphere all change throughout the year, so even if you’ve hiked it before, another visit can feel like an entirely different experience.

Summer has an extra little reward too. If you visit at just the right time, you can find wild berries growing along the trail, which makes stopping to pick and eat a few along the way one of those simple things that makes the hike even more enjoyable.

Like every location throughout my collection, Twin Falls is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pen, with many hours spent building the waterfall, rocks, forest, water, and surrounding landscape one detail at a time.
